Well today is now 16 years since this day that changed my life forever. I am glad to say that I am still here after all these years and keep reading this forum. I really want to take a trip back up to Arkansas to continue the trip I didn't get to complete that day. So if anyone is wanting to go up there one day, please ping me. I'll lead or follow on some great roads. I reflect back on these days. MotoHouston was born about the same time I was in the hospital. I remember Chris (Solracer) telling me about it and asked me to join it. Time has flown. I hope everyone reads the story and learns something from it. Love you guys.

You're story has been an inspiration to so many in this community and I'm sure elsewhere. We've never met but maybe someday we will.
I'm hoping to move up to Ark in a year or 2. If I do, I think it'd be great to have a group come up and ride around the hills for a couple days. I'll let ya'll know. Free camping! |

Where do you plan on moving up in AR? There are so many fun roads out there. I think the engineers let their kids draw the roads with crayons on a map cause they go all over the place lol. I have been all over the US and I have to say there are no better roads than Arkansas. That includes Deals Gap, the Skyway and Californian roads. |

I'm looking in the mountain view and mountain home area, as well as'around eureka springs.
I agree about the roads. I've done the dragons trail, the skyway and the 3 sisters since before they were cool. My favorite road ever ridden is near mountain home. |

There was this one road, i think AR-123 near Sand Gap. It has some insane elevation changes to it in a corkscrew type of setup. I remember dragging my knee up one side and down on the other. It was so insane and unreal. One of the Dallas TSBA guys was telling me how weird it was to see me rip through it like I did with my knee on the ground going in an uphill spiral. I wish I could remember the location. It was so tight, I have no idea how cars could drive on it.

AR-123 is not far from me and is one of the many "must ride" roads in this area. It is one of my favorite roads to ride as it has so much variety in elevation and curves, including switchbacks! If you plan on coming up here, I highly recommend getting a Butler map of the Ozarks, which also includes southern Missouri and part of Oklahoma. It has all of the "must ride" roads highlighted. And there are LOTS in Arkansas!! |
