I only use like 500kwh so i can never get those 9.1c deals but Green Mountain has been good to me 10.5c for <500kwh (total) is not bad, and the best part is that their fee's are not as exorbitant as TXU's i was paying nearly half my bill in fee's alone

my friend told me to disconnect over the phone (not online) they try to sell you some kinda when you disconnect online then send you a bill after you've disconnected

(i think he said it was electricity insurance or some B/S just didnt read the fine print and accidentaly clicked something or left something unclicked)

read the detials of the plan too. Especially the "e" plans.

Last time I asked for a two year contract with Direct. After a year and 3 months I notice my rate is back up. They ended the contract in 1 year. I never read the junk I had no way to fix it...

Carefull though! I work with Ambit and i've seen so many people offered 9-10c and thinking they are getting an awesome deal. So many hidden cost and delivery fees that add up to 14-15c per kw hour. We offer 10.4 right now..not the best but no hidden anything involved but a $10 centerpoint delivery fee. Anyways...good luck!

using amigo now....charging 9 or so....after fees and I saw last cycle billed me at 11.4 (only 2 weeks of usage, first billing cycle). I expect usage to go up so kw price should come down.

True..more used cheaper the rate to some extent. I never noticed until i became a consultant with them. Usuallly on the back, near the bottom of the bill it will show what you actually pay per kw hour. Kinda like the fine print.

I'm with champion energy at 9.8 but the fees bring it up to the mid 10s. Been happy with them as a company so far. I couldn't stand dealing with green mountain.

I just look at my bill from Apna Energy. I average 9.7 including my delivery fee.

If you enter your meter number they will find you the cheapest plan based on the history of your electric use. A lot of times the lowest per kwh is not actually the cheapest based on your specific usage over one year
