1989 honda crx dx 5 spd
it is a 5 spd 89 crx dx, faded silver and some primer colored.
it has about 170k miles on it. no major body damage, the fenders could use some work, but they are original honda parts. its a 40mpg car, has current inspection and registration good til next year, title is clean and blue. It needs some work, but runs and should be reliable. I am working on little things (newer tires, radio maybe, replacing climate control panel, replacing shift lever and shift , fixing a window) which will mostly be done by the time you take it. i have redone the timing, fixed some wiring problems, replaced an axle, replaced the a pipe of the header, replaced the seats, may go ahead and replace the exhaust. no ac currently. prior owner removed condenser, compressor, condenser fan and ac line. i can put it back in if the price is right. i already have a stock condenser for it... the engine is great, starts easily, transmission shifts very smooth as well. as it sits i am asking $1200 713 for for nine ate one 7 3 the longer i have it the more work i will do, so less negotiable and might even increase price. ![]() |

roughly $500 additional.
the compressor, ac belt, drier and expansion valve Will run $200-230, the ac lines condenser fan and compressor bracket I am not sure of total price since that will all be junkyard parts, and I am throwing in a used stock condenser for free as well as o-rings, and refrigerant. It could come out a little higher or if I get lucky and can get stuff from a private seller parting a car out it could be lower. I figure my time to put it all in, fill the system and source parts is worth $100, since it will take me a while to pull the radiator and put all this in and find the parts. I would want to work something with a non refundable deposit for parts...or have you supply the new/reman parts (which would of course reduce my asking price for this). I do have a second crx that I restored the ac on last winter that blows cold and have done this on a bunch of hondas. We can work out an agreement with safeguards for both of us. I am honest and will do what is needed to prove it. |
