Multigenerational MH: OG to Noob

I'm curious.

We have OG's, what I call 2ndGen Og's (my group ), 3rdGenOg's and forward to noobs. We tend to sort out in three major groups: street, stunt, and track. The track and stunt scenes seem to most naturally mingle new folks with the old ones, but the street riders often seem to sort of freeze.

Folks sign on, are active for a few years, disappear/reappear, meet a few noobs here and there but generally they become real-life friends or riding buddies and their circle of riders stops growing.

For my part, I tend to grow comfortable with the riders I've been with for years. I know how they ride, how they'll respond in most situations, etc. I'm spoiled--it's somewhat stressful for me to ride with a lot of new people, but I do miss the group rides and the chance to meet new faces. We're an eclectic group; I'm always worried that I'm missing the chance to meet another Pam/Azylum/Princess/SbFuller/etc.

So what about you guys?

Are you an OG (of some form) who breaks the norm and continues to expand your circle of riders? Or are you something of a set-in-amber MHer?

General thoughts?

*I wanna write more (ya'll know me), but I'm hyper aware of the fact that every line I add decreases the chances of a complete read.

I'm a relatively new n00b, and I have only gone riding with one group of friends (non-members.) I don't get to ride for fun (although I have fun every time I ride) but I look forward to meeting a lot of you guys. I work 3 tens, I'm taking 15 hours at U of H, I'm in a band, and I have a girlfriend... so my schedule is pretty packed. I need to make time to get out to a meet up to get some face time with some of the great people here on this board.

I enjoy meeting new people and always willing to go on a ride and hopefully help new riders just like seasoned riders guided and helped me...

My main focus this year will be helping track noobs experience track...it's such a valuable thing that I think everyone should experience...

I don't know where I fall in terms of noobs or of...

But I enjoy meeting all types of riders...and will gladly ride with then if I have the chance.

Can this poll be remade with the ability to choose more than one option?

My edit button's gone already. Pick the most applicable perhaps? Then add the others to a post?

I dunno where I'm at. 3rd Gen, 4th Gen MHer???

Either way, I'm always glad to meet and help newer riders on the street, or make the transition to track. I feel like its a duty to pass on the GOOD advice I've gotten over the years to a new generation.

However anything spirited or up, I'm extremely cautious of people I've never ridden with. I don't care if you're fast or not, I care if you are going to be able to keep me alive. MH has too broad of a member group to trust everyone!

I find myself kind of mid-era, and have only met about 15 people from the site. They were all fantastic people though. Well except Chad.

I never quite worked it out past 2ndGen. Guess I could...

2005 - OG
2006-2007 2ndGen OG
2008-2009 3rdGen OG
2010 4thGen OG prospects
2011-2012 Noobs

I dunno...work in progress. Suggestions welcome. It'll take some time for the '10 folks to move into a category that can rightly be called OG anything.

I think in total, I've been to 3 meets (excluding track days), in my 6 years of riding. Prefer just to keep to myself.

You've come along way in a very short time, since the first few rides with Chucks on!

That was one of the best rides I'd ever done. Complete trust in that group.
We were booking it and still, everyone was fluid and controlled.

Looks about right to me. Unfortunately, haven't met a TON of the OGs, but alot of the 06-08 people taught me alot. Those were the people right before my group.

Ahh yes, my Chucks gp edition

Now it feels weird riding a sports bike without my boots.
