A country that cannot balance its budget does not deserve to have symbols, or patriotism, or welfare, or space travel, or warfare, or visits to the white house, or many order sorts of things that are typically associated with fiscal responsibility. And lets be honest here, are the blue angels racially representative of the type of cosmopolitan nation our leadership, republican and democrat alike, have been working overtime for decades to turn our nation in to? So like everything else that isn't, it needs to go.

Coast Guard has to cut 10% of active duty personel. Roughly 4500 people will be out of jobs. Blue angels being grounded sucks but I can live with that as long as I keep my job.

Also thats not including civilian personel that will be cut.

I understand your point, but you're missing THE point.

We cut Hawaii vacations and Memphis "Soul" night at the WH, you keep your job, and get to watch Blue Angels with your family.

Oh no I completely understand. I will be the first to say that our "leader" should take a hike. I do agree if he would stop taking vacations it would solve alot of problems but that's not the only problem with him. I'm just saying in retrospect with the sequestor going on, a couple of jets used for publicity and to reach out to the public isn't quite as important as feeding my three children.

I saw them the first year they had the F-18's.

This sucks because it will not effect any real change in the budget. I would be more on board with this if it would really work. We are so far in debt that something needs to give. You know the politicians are still going to get theirs and could give a less about anyone else. The grandest definition of hypocracy.

The Blue Angels Commander Russ Bartlett in that video was a lieutenant in my squadron back in the 80's.

imagine how much money would be saved, if the President and his family would simply stop going on vacations.

I would rather imagine how much more money could be saved if America stopped fighting other country's wars for them.

Didn't a whitehouse conversation get leaked that stated Obama specifically asked some bureacrat to make the cuts where it would hurt conservatives most?

He can afford all kinds of fancy ..... He's so white trash, trailer park rich all he's missing is some super swampers on the beast and a broken down old firebird on cinder blocks on the white house lawn....
