how much would a kit like this run for on average? think about upgrading the suspension on my bike.

i don't know about matris....but fork cartridges usually run about $1000-$1500. a very nice upgrade for track use. for street use, racetech valves and springs will do the job. you'll save about $1,000 going with racetech internals.

+1 on Ohlins 25mm cartridges

You can't argue with the AK-20's, but my preference goes to Ohlins

This company is currently selling the Matris "R' kits for about $1150 on most sportbike models (with a discount in place).

The feedback I've read is that the performance of the Matris 25mm kit is quite comparable to the Ohlins RT cartridge kits.

But I've seen the RT cartridge kits selling for not much more on one website. And I'm sure Motorcycles Unlimited may even be able to match that price for the Ohlins set-up.

As mentioned, the RaceTech internals should be more than sufficient for street riding. And it's less expensive.
Once you start racing or doing track days is when you may start thinking about investing in the Ohlins, Traxxion, etc.
