Class dates, times and spaces

As a provider, we often get asked why certain classes only happen at certain times and in certain places. There are lots of reasons:
1. It's tough to find space to hold classes. And very often when we do have space, there are time limitations on when that space can be used to train.
2. The state has a severe shortage of instructors right now. There are now less than 300 people statewide to train the entire state of TX, down from over 700 a few years ago.
3. It costs $$ to rent space, pay instructors, pay insurance and provide materials, gas, etc. If a certain class only attracts a small number of people, we have to schedule it accordingly. It's a fact that in TX only a very small number of people take advanced training. Much as we'd like to schedule such classes constantly, experience shows they'd be unlikely to all fill.
4. Remember that training sites are run, for the most part, as private businesses in TX, and that we have to generate enough income to stay in business.
So please do not get mad at a provider when a class isn't offered at a time that is most convenient to you. While it may be inconvenient to take a day off to train and get your M, it beats the alternative of riding illegally and risking your well-being. (And there's always the option of private training, if you don't mind the extra $$!)
