SpeedSportz with the 701 SM

Really want to start going out here more often. It's an absolute blast. And soooo much less pressure compared to throwing the GSXR 1000 around the track.

What are the rules on bikes for Speedsportz? Are there certain days / times for bikes? is the 701 an ideal bike for it?

I'm not sure on days. I usually just call a couple of days before to make sure it's open for bikes.

The 701 is too much for the track. Too much weight.

A 450 would be perfect.

Think rules on noise, not so much on capacity.

So if it is 450 max, and if I don’t have a motard, how do I buy a turnkey one? Or is that even possible?

Thanks for the input

It's more like a 650 but I had a blast a Speedsport on it and you can cruise at freeway speeds too.

If your interested in the bigger KTM PM me for a better price. I'm ready to move this bike and get something different, I have Bike ADHD.

If you want to get out there on a larger bike you might want to look at getting the 300 or 400 class sport bikes. If you are trying to do a tard then search craigslist or you might have to build one.

Anything under 1.03 feels pretty fast to me. It's an absolute joke to push the 701 around faster than that for more than 3-4 laps. Would be less work pushing a boulder around.

Wow nice video and thanks for sharing. It does look like you were having a blast out there and just able to focus and get into your element. I'll concur with you on the statement of the fun associated with having a smaller bike on a closed course. The feeling is completely different yet still so rewarding in every way that you need.

I'm with the others on this one and have to make time to go check it out.

Anyone want to come out this Fri or Sat? Would prefer Friday to be honest, but happy either way. Also haven't called the track to confirm they don't have an event, but I'll prob do that at some point today.

Just got the word that the pro track is open to bikes this Friday. I'll be there for most of the day.
