Went Down Today

Motorcycle: 2012 CBR250r
Cold tire pressure checked before ride: 29psi front and rear per recommend specs
Plenty of tire tread left (measured before ride)
Location: Holcombe/Kirby
Rider Experience: ~2 months
Gear: Shoei FR-900, Joe Rocket Ballistic Series Mesh Jacket, Icon Compound gloves, AGV Willow Leather Pants, Puma Desmo Boots

Here's my story. Joy riding around the medical center, I was making a turn onto Kirby from Holcombe. Mid-turn bike slides underneath from me: Before the turn I did all my breaking and shifting and slowed down to 20mph. Here are my thoughts to what happened:

1) Lost traction due to the white paint line?
2) Chopped throttle? (which I don't remember doing)
3) Excess speed?
4) Combination of the three above?

I know I did not break in the turn. So, bike slides from underneath me, I'm sliding on the road watching my bike slide away from me, and people around me watching. Everyone asked if I was okay, I said I was fine when I got up and lifted the bike off the ground (it was pretty light with a full tank). Bike was already off when I got to it. I got her on the side stand. Then I walked it to the parking lot and assessed the damage:

Pictures of the turn:

Gear Damage:

I walked away with no harm to me, except my ego and embarrassment. All my gear saved my skin from road rash. All of the damage to the bike is cometic; the bike isn't leaking any fluids. Most importantly, no one got hurt. So here's my story.

Last thing, does anyone know where I can go to get my brake pedal bent back? It still works, just feels weird being out of place.

Don't worry about the ego , it happens to the best of us, at least you were smart enough to wear your gear even riding slowly at the medical center. Cosmetic will be fixed in no times and you did not get hurt... Learn from it and use it as a good experience.

Edit: It was Holcombe/Greenbriar not Holcombe/Kirby. Better view of the turn:

(unless theyve changed the design) those front signals can push into the fairing and crack it. Maybe get some flush signals

I'm just going to replace the whole thing, it's only $9.85 for the lever and seems pretty easy to remove and install.
