Question 5'0 ft Rider Quest

Hey ya'll!! Hope everybody is doing well I'm new to riding and I'm having a problem trying to find a bike that will fit my "shortness".

I was recently told that I need to have both feet fully reaching the ground. Well, what do you do when NONE of your feet are no where near touching the ground!!!

I want to know if some bikes come with low seats or do I have to lower it myself? I thought the Honda Grom would work but 125cc is not going to work on my daily commute on highways.

Thank you for your help! I'll gladly take any advice.

I didn't have both feet fully touching the ground when I started n I still dont. Esp with my motorcycle boots on. With that being said, all the bikes ive had were lowered n I would raise it back once I get a chance. Yes, ull feel more competent if u could touch the ground but....ull get used to it.
What I did/sometimes still do:
guy friends would push me while im reversing into a parking spot bc I can barely touch the ground to do it myself quickly.
Ask them to take the bike down the driveway (when the bike is head in)

Thanks! I'm reading them like before and I'm still finding anything on new 2013-2014 motorcycles with low seats. I'll keep looking!

Thanks for the advice! Have to remember the reverse push idea. What boots do you recommend?

So such thing. First round of races here at MSRH was a family and their little boy with a 250 and he was so little which the only way he could stand the bike up was to shift his entire body to the left and brake already in first gear ready to go. It was adorable to see how eager he was to race
Go get the bike that you want and go have your fun.
The only thing I would recommend you is: If you are going to play with the geometry of the bike to make lower for you to ride, take it to someone who knows what they are doing. raising or lowering the front and rear end of the bike by a few millimeters can take a really good handling bike into a bad one real quick.

@7cain

Thanks for the suggestion! I sat on a used 2011 Rebel but the previous owner cranked the seat up to like a 33' inseam, My inseam is 24.4', I have freakin' toddler legs man! I'll definitely sit on another Rebel and see what happens

Your right Rod! Thanks! I want the ninja 300 and I'm going to try my best to handle it. Just have to try harder I have a motorcycle mechanic in the family and he told me the same, to let a professional lower it.

It's true, I'm 6' and have a hard time putting both feet down on a friends dirtbike. His neighbor came out to ride it and he's close to 5', I was surprised that he had absolutely no problem handling it. I've been used to flat footing a moto most my life, it felt awkward not being able to for the first time since I can remember, some things you get used to.

I'm in for pics too.

Btw, what type of bike peaks your interest? Sport, touring, or cruiser?

I like how sport bikes look but I have a bad back so I'm looking for a bike that looks like a sport but allows me to ride slightly upward, not fully bend over the entire ride

Hmm, tough one. Depending on your back problems it might not be an issue. I have osteoarthritis in my lower back and stress fractures in my hips and riding mine actually helps me stretch my back out and relieves it a little.

A troll is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting
arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic .

Nice pic! Thank you for that, you can always go to any of the meet and greets in your area and check out other bikes. The central meet is tonight at 8, look in the M&G section.

@7cain

I feel smarter now that I know what a troll is and, on my next off day, I will surely attend one of the events! Hopefully, I will have decided on a motorcycle by then
