mirrors or no mirrors

Trying to decide whether to keep my mirrors or delete them.

Hardly ever useful when I need them and find that it's more distracting than good.

But seeing as Houston sucks in the driver's dept. I'm not sure what to do.

mirrors.

Wanna look cool or be safe?

I started a thread a while back about how I credited my mirrors to saving my life and I was a proponent. I was amazed how I got flamed for this. Some people realy toolk offense that I believed its safer to have them because they didn't like to use them.

To each his own. But when you have a full size 4 door Silverado with a drunk drive bearing down on you from behind and what saves your is the ability to quickly glance at your mirrors and act instantly, you will know how valuable they are. As me how I know.

But, I caught a lot of for this.

But then again, two thirds of Americans are retarded.

Keep them. They may not be all that great but i still use mine CONSTANTLY. My first trackday i caught myself looking for them even though they weren't there. You'll miss them when they're gone on the street.

For street? Who the would ride without mirrors? I have seen a few, and almost killed two of them, as they cut in front of me, inches off my bumper. They had no clue I was there.

They seem to be te same people that don't use blinkers. Life expectancy on Houston streets... 6 months.

Leave them on

I look at my mirror constantly, you never know what is going on behind you.

I use my blinkers all the time that I wouldnt get rid of.

The mirrors distract more than good but I see where they could come in handy when you need them.

Indeed it did. Hahaha

Was just curious what the masses thought about them.

I've had the delete plates since I got the bike(came with a box of parts) and several times I have torn the bike down but always put the mirrors back on when it got to that point.

I love looking in the mirrors at lights its the only way I can fix my hair and comb my eye brows.

I voted keep them, if you want to live. If you don't give a , then it is always nice not to see what is going to happen.

I always take mine off for the track. I hit the street once or twice without them because I was being lazy and it was a lat minute ride. Hated not having them. On a side note if you are not using them you have some riding skills left to be learned. Hopefully you don't insist on learning them the hard way

I would take them off right after I took one of the front rotors off so you can see the wheel:bang head:

While you're at it, remove the tail light too. Those things look stupid and think how much faster you'll be without the weight.
