Cow Creek

I was out there about two weeks ago and it was uneasy going to say the least. Probably three miles of new asphalt after the first few turns. Not good asphalt, either. Looked more like oil top. Lots of loose gravel all over the road, and I'm not sure how far they've gone with the new surface now.

i was there about the same time and yes, the road isnt in great condition. its also not very fun and my first time on it so i won't be going back.

the only problem is that crabb river road is so short, i thought cow creek would be a good addition. going up and down crab river gets kind old quick so i'm looking for an alternative :( its a shame because its so close to my house.

It was the first time I rode it in 1985, and I doubt it will ever get better, but it is some nice scenery if you are just looking for a chill ride.....

I dont know why people ride that road...My parents have a house out there on a little bass lake and I ride out there sometimes. Its fun on Crabb river, but once I make it to cow creek I ride slow. Too many cows and loose on the roads makes me nervous. I always see the cruiser guys on it though, like someone said, the scenery is nice, but really theres only like 2 curves that would make it even worth the ride.

Crabb is short? Huh... I got bored riding forever just to hit 4 sweepers I thought it was too long. RR gets old, and the trip to Yankees just takes too long for a quick morning (even from the westside... would take ya'll south siders MUCH longer).

Not sure I'm thinking of the right Cow Creek... it's a pretty road, something I'd ride at a quick pace, but never at a spirited pace.

The road going towards the power plant off of 762 is good. Just watch for thompson police. And do a sighting ride through. Gravel in some turns occasionaly.

That crappy plant road is the spot where I topped the Busa out for the first time. A cop showed up after I made a few passes. We left before we could meet the cop. No idea where he was from
