The only thing I have ever spent money on my fiddy is paying someone else to swap tubes, those 10" tires are a especially with motard tires. I put three tubes in on one day and had a pinch flat on all three. From there on they went to a shop for $25 the labor was worth saving my blood pressure (that or I give them to bucknut for his pit crew to attack.

I cleaned my carb yesterday on my fiddy after it sitting for 8 months and it fired right up and it was whoolies all day long. One of my favorite bikes to ride and they make great drunken jousting steeds.

Easiest bike for any age to learn how to ride for noobs.

Yeah , easiest way to to heat tire/wheel in the sun for a few hours, soap the out of it (dish soap) and use the longest tire irons you can find, but good luck getting the tube, tire bead on and seated!

Hank I give you guys props it's a skill. Mines still holding air too, thanks!

Iíd replace your fuel shutoff valve. If it sat, the plastic inside the valve tend to corrode and get gunked up. Which means it will pass that garbage back into the carb.

Wire strands are your friend to get those jets cleaned.

If you want to unleash a bit more power get a 70 carb and throttle tube. Drill a small pilot hole in the bars to mount the tube. Trust me!
