Bill...swing by the Neon Moon Saloon in La Porte as you start to head south on 146, it's a little rough around the edges bar but a good place to stop before you hit the madness and high prices of Kemah. If you're into fresh local (mostly fried) seafood for a quick lunch, I suggest Joe Lee's seafood, I've never had better cracker crusted fried flounder anywhere on earth.
