Front tire

It's time to replace my front tire and wanted some recommendations for a new tire. I currently have the stock front with a pilot 3 on rear due to a flat while back. Mainly for street riding. Any suggestions I would appreciate.

Matching tires=good
mismatched tires=probably ok if you don't push too hard

S21's front and rear=great choice!

Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP front OEM and Battlax S21 Rear works fine for me. Wasn't about to put another low tread life Diablo Supercorsa SP on the rear. When the Supercorsa front wears out I'll replace it with a S21.

i was thinking of just matching it with the rear but i wanted to keep my options open. i didnt purchase the rear. the pilot 3 is what was replaced with the stock rear under warranty. the rear i would say has about 6k.

Do you have the Pilot Power 3 sport tire or the Pilot Road 3 sport touring tire? For street riding, I think the current group of Sport Touring tires offer plenty of grip for most riders and provide much more mileage than a sport tire. These would include the Michelin Pilot Road 4, Dunlop RoadSmart III, Bridgestone T30, Pirelli Angel GT, etc. If you like Bridgestone tires, a popular combination is an S21 sport tire in the front and a T30 rear tire. Dunlop Pro Dealers are currently offering a $100 rebate on the RoadSmart III's and $75 on Q3+ sport tires making Dunlops the best value this month.

Rear is the pilot road 3.

Michelin makes some of best tires available, but typically at a higher price with no available rebates to make them more affordable. The Dunlop RoadSmart III is also a great tire. I think just as good as the Pilot Road 4. The RoadSmart III is $60 per set less expensive than the Michelin, then get $100 back on top of that making the Dunlop considerably cheaper without sacrificing quality.

S21 front, T30 rear.

Bridgestone has been hitting a home run with their prices/grip, and longevity.

I used to be a Pilot power front, pilot road (2) guy.. but after the road 3 & 4 came out I was disappointed in the wear characteristics over time (with hard riding), and the bridgestone lower prices and semi-annual $50 rebate per set, its been a no-brainer. Havent paid more than $215 a set ($265 before rebate) for a couple years now! I buy 2 sets whenever the rebate hits.

PS - t30 is the pilot road equivalent in bstone's line. however- it is NOT as grippy in the WET.. but has HELLA rubber on the edges (no micro-sieves like the PR3/4), allowing for supersport tire grip in the turns and touring tire life in the center

$109.99 120/70-17 Bridgestone S21
$154.99 180/55-17 Bridgestone T30

$20 ON the bike, $10 OFF the bike to mount and balance. I'm not aware of any available rebate from Bridgestone on these tires this month.
