good luck man, but why do people think that coffee is better (or less bad) than redbull? and I see that you caved about an hour later and got a redbull....be sure to spread em out or else you will crash hard later tonight

Be sure to rub it in her face how hard you worked to stay awake so you could see her

Well... because it is. Black coffee has good stuff in it (like red wine) in addition to the caffeine. Unless in espresso, the caffeine is not concentrated so the diuretic side effects are mitigated. Almost zero calories and no fat unless you add sugar and creamer (even a single sugar packet is only 16 calories).

Numerous studies have been done on "energy drinks" (red bull and its cousins) with the general consensus that it is not good to use regularly or in large quantity. The load even a single RB puts on your system can have deleterious effects on your health. Sugar-free is only better in that you avoid the sugar. However, there is mounting evidence that regular consumption of artificially sweetened beverages may play a role in metabolic syndrome.

Caffeine is a drug, plain and simple. Not judging here, I am a regular user and frequent abuser myself. I did the research before hand and (unlike most other drugs) decided the benefits outweighed the risks.
