Just a warning, this bike does have a salvage title. This is jumpinfly's (Tyler's) old sportster, I picked it up after his last wreck. About the only things "original" to this bike are the rims, frame, and engine. Only damage to engine during the wreck were a dented clutch cover and primary cover, and those were replaced with new parts from HD, no damage to frame, but just about everything else was trashed. Lower triple tree steering lock tabs did break off, I've been too lazy to put a new one on.

Bike currently sports narrowed "Johnny bars" w/ 4" straight risers, 2" taller forks and rear shocks, pin striped tank, 7" XS650 side mount headlight, mid-mount pegs, custom wiring harness, floating front rotor, no gauges or switches, chopped rear fender (and frame struts), chopped stock seat with "hand-stitched" cover, tail light is made from HD turn signal housing and red LED bulb, 110mm x 19" front tire, 130mm x 16" rear tire, etc...

Forks were just rebuilt w/ new seals, heavy duty fork oil, and the stiffer springs from the drop forks, primary oil just flushed about 2 months ago (~3k miles) with installation of Barnett "extra plate" carbon clutch (replacing brass-riveted disk of death), engine oil will be getting changed this weekend.

Just rode this bike out to eastern TN at the end of June to ride the tail of the dragon, and feel confident in riding this bike anywhere.

Known issues with the bike:
- ugly spray can paint job (some of it there before I bought it, some of it just because I'm lazy)
- lower muffler, pegs, and peg mounts have scrapes
- currently no license plate mount, as it broke somewhere between LA and MS on my trip. I will be replacing it before the bike is sold (I already have a replacement plate).
- salvage title
- no gauges (or wiring provisions for them)

The bike does have current registration and inspection.

These are the best pictures I have at the moment, I'll try and get the bike cleaned up this weekend and get some better pictures.

for whatever it's worth, I was told by Tyler that it had a "1200 carb kit" in it, but I don't know exactly what he meant by that, as he didn't really elaborate. if I end up keeping it much longer, I'm probably going to do the NRHS 1212 conversion...

That is the current configuration, down to the missing license plate. I'll see if I can get some posted this evening though, as those are the only pictures I currently have of this setup.

and if anyone's interested, I've also got a clip-on setup for it, just needs some rear-sets fabricated...

I'd go with some wider/flatter bars to give some leverage on that 21" front wheel.... but that is just me.

Glad I don't have any fundage for a "project"....

thanks tim.

cedestech: for whatever it's worth, that's the 19" front wheel, though I do have a spoked 21" as well, just no tire on it. thought it would've looked funny with the mag on back and spoked up front. it's actually not a bad ride with the clip-ons (and I hate wide bars), the peg position just leaves me quite cramped with my arms that low. I may give some rear sets a shot if I end up sitting on it long enough.

I'd consider maybe trading my 2000 buell M2 for it. Mines black on black, low miles, wicked clean garage kept, new rubber, and 1203cc

Wow, that was a deal for both of ya'll.

I like the street tracker look or even a retro XLCR look would be bad but you'd have to have someone build the X pipe.
