Harris County Emissions - 2016 KTM 500

Hey Guys,

I just picked up a 2016 KTM 500 EXC and the owner lived in an area that did not test emissions so he removed the emissions equipment on the bike.

He provided me the emissions items removed but the bike has been tuned without the emissions equipment so I would prefer to leave it off.

Does anyone know how the emissions checks go on motorcycles in Harris County? Is it just like a car? I don't want to fail and have to pay twice if I can avoid it.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Daniel

A deeper search led me to the following link that says motorcycles are exempt from emissions testing. If anyone knows differently, please let me know!

You good. No emissions testing. I'm almost ready for inspection on my two stroke in order to get it plated. Pretty sure those would fail emissions testing.
