Where my commuters at!?

So after a year of working at home I left the place I was working at and joined a new company.

Only thing is that I am no longer working from home and I'm not commuting to work.

Been crappy days this week with the rain, but not horrible. Which led me to see how many others here are commuting to work.

Need tips on:
Rain gear (currently looking at frogtogg (sp?).. )
Rainproof Backpacks
Tires that are better for commuting & rain

...anything else that will help make my commute better/more enjoyable/safe.

Post up!

P.S.

Is the plate up-to-date and is it insured? If so, get on that sucker and ride

Michelin Pilot Roads - My bike came with those (someone before me swapped OEM ones for Pilots), but I was sold on them when I got caught in a rain storm and they didn't miss a beat. I'm on my second set. Will do a track day with them in a month or so

Olympia has really good rain gear...and jackets that are all season. Alpinestars also has rain jackets. I've worn my A-stars jacket but never been caught in rain with it. My Olympia jacket has performed extremely well through multiple storms.

I've ridden through my share of thunderstorms and on light rainy days that make the roads extra slick. I'm running Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires (front and rear). Haven't experienced any sliding or unstable behavior on rainy days. I've used these tires on the track too. Can't say enough good things about them.

I have the Ogio No-drag Mach 3 backpack. I don't believe they advertise it as a rainproof backpack, but because of the hard shell and the way it is made, it always keeps me dry when I have it on. No water has gotten in.
