well.. i was informed rears typically last about 7500 miles. which mine did they way I ride. I don't drop 3rd and dump the throttle and rip it WOT, no peel outs, no burn outs, I don't lock the rear when braking.. I suppose a proper variable would be...
by spending amount of $$$ more or less, does it = +50 miles more? +500 miles? or x2 or whatever of mileage. (I know it won't last more than 10000 miles) BTW nick, we missed ya today. |

I got 7500 on my rear Dunlop Roadsmart.. you should do better on the lighter/lower power bike
Pilot Road 3 are similar, a little more pointy in shape which means quicker turn in, but they are also more $$. Don't get the Pilot Power 2CT, you want the Roads. Powers are the soft sport tire. You need to look at one of the sport touring tires for the riding you do. |

![]() My buddy also really likes his Conti Motions Truth is the new sport touring tires provide all the grip you'll ever need on the street for 99% of riders and roads. We won't mention those 1%.. ![]() |

600rr. yes daily.. not ONLY form of transportation.. But definitely the most fun. lol.
I've had the bike 4 months.. from 0-7000+ miles.. i need to change the rear. Which says a lot about how much i ride it. IF.. i could put an imaginary treat in the middle, the sides are still about.. 90% there.. lol. |

I put a set of shikos on a couple years ago. Great price and fine to ride to work or just cruising around. I wouldnt recomend them for anything else, very greasy feeling when leaned over at speed. Spend $50 bucks more and get a better tire.

![]() ![]() Most rims fall into the 5 or 5.5 size, a few like mine are 6 inch 5 = 180 5.5 = 180/190 6 = 190/200 50 or 55 aspect will depend on whats avail (not many in the touring style in the 190 range) and your style of riding |

pilot road 3
190/55 though for a 600 like the OP has, 180/55 is the best option. |

180/55 best turn in, not to meaty, prefect for 600s
never seen 180/50 190/50 meaty tire, lots of contact patch when vertical, mostly seen on big bore bikes 1ks, busa type bikes 190/55 "new" size , contact patch of a traditional 190/50 but better turn in, not as good as 180/55 but beter then 190/50 |

You'll also find different shapes in the same sizes between different brands...
Pirelli and Michelin tend to be more of a pointy V shape Dunlop and Stones tend towards a more rounded C shape |
