My neighbor just told me he called the cops for shooting fireworks should I not answer the door when the cops come?

I know he is a huge peckerhead. One time he came to our front door and told my wife if he saw our rottweillers out again he was going to shoot them. He also wouldn't kick in for repairing our mutual fence after Harvey.

It was like 4 minutes after midnight and I was shooting off dual roman candles that made colors and report right when he walked up the side walk. I couldn't hear him at first and then he said you keep shooting off (like i could stop 10rd roman candle ) the cops are on their way. I said it's new years man and happy new year to you. Then he said it's illegal and the cops are coming.

I go and went inside and tell my wife to turn off the tv so the cops won't think we are up when they ring door bell. She says screw that old man I am tired of his . I tell her i understand but we were still shooting fireworks in the city limit which is illegal. And our prickhead neighbor saw them in my hands shooting them. So we are NOT answering the door because i don't feel like a fine or go to jail when you start going irate on the neighbor in front of the cops.

So seriously what if the cops did come for discharging fireworks in the city limit with a neighbor as a witness. Would they have got a warrant and kicked in my door if I never answered it?

Oh and I know I know I am too old to be doing this juvenile but I just can't seem to grow up for some reason. It's just not me.

Good. I hate party poopers.

We live outside of city limits, but our HOA restricts fireworks to the day of July 4th and NYE.

People are constantly complaining. Most of the time they think they are complaining about our residents, when its really the HOA next door who, are NOT restricted.

Its a few days out of the year, let people have some fun. I didn't fire any last night, but thoroughly enjoyed seeing our sky lit up like a war was going on.

It sounded like a warning zone in my neighborhood last night.
We use our neighborhood FB page to tell everyone where the cops are.
The cops are more of a danger racing around the neighborhood trying to catch someone than just letting everyone shoot fireworks for an hour or so...

Don't put the spent fireworks in your ttash can until the next day. My city trash can was reduced to a green puddle in the street last night. Lol.

lol they never showed up. Either he lied and never called them or he did and like you said they didn't give a because they were going off everywhere to bring in the new year. I swear it was so funny he was yelling at me for shooting fire works while the roman candle were going over his head I could have aimed a little lower and really shut him up .

The thing was i think he was really mad about the loud mortar shells that were going off 4 houses away i guess he was walking towards the sound and saw me with candles. I swear I have never seen my wife so mad at a neighbor she was like crazy went on about it for at least 20 minutes. At least she wasn't mad at me.

My only issue with fireworks is waking up the next day and having my yard, roof of house and roofs of vehicles in driveway littered with spent debris. Neighbors on all sides fire them off and nobody cleans up very well. Street is littered the worst, especially after all the in my yard gets thrown there. Lol

We created a new game where the kids drive the golf cart up and down the street and we shoot roman candles at them, was a good time.
