Someone stole my car

Well it finally happened to me. I'm leaving for work this morning and something doesn't look right, I get half way down my street and realize my Acura RSX-s is gone. I have never had anything stolen from me...It is the most intense feeling I've had in a long time. I was living in this bubble of thinking, my neighbor is a Sheriff's deputy, nobody is going to mess with my stuff with his car in the driveway. I can only imagine how it's going to look once they recover it, I'm sure it will be a total loss...FML

I know how you feel. It was a bike for me. It sucks. Hope you had full coverage.

Having your stuff stolen can wreck any sense of security and safety you might have had. Crime can happen anywhere at anytime, always be vigilant in knowing that. Some stole my Craftsman lawn mower right out of garage a few months ago and let me tell you I was pretty ticked off, and that was a lawnmower, I can only imagine a car or my bike. Hope it works out for you man!

It does suck. My first bike was bought new off the showroom floor with cash. I had it for 3 months before it was stolen

I could have sworn you left it in the front lawn...

You need to start closing your garage door. Anytime you leave the house.

it was a shocker, moving here to the "big city". Locking everything up, and being vigilant took some getting used to. I was appalled that someone would actually TAKE my ! I came from a small town that I could (and did) leave a few hundred dollars on my seat, leave the windows open, go shopping, and come back to the cash still sitting there.

, I left the cobra in long term parking at the Tampa airport with 3 THOUSAND dollars on the seat. I realized it when I got to NY. 3 weeks later, I came back, KNOWING that my window was smashed, in the least. Car was probably gone. NOTHING was touched.

Then I came here, where people will steal your skidmarked underwear if you leave them out. It is one of the few things I absolutely hate about Houston.

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-

My car even has a chip in the key as a anti-theft device. I've tried to drive it with my spare key and it wouldn't work I had to have the chipped key to drive it....FML

any particular reason you park 1/2 way down the street from your home?

sorry to hear it, regardless. Being a victim to scum life thieves sucks royally.

Probably towed the thing. Did the neighbors see anything?

I doubt it was towed. These and civics are stolen so easily, they are the Buick regals of the current generation. My friends was found in the street and his truck was parked behind it and he removes the ECU every night. He was half awake when he spotted the guys running off.

Can you start a car, that uses a key fob and has a push button start, without the fob?

I have not looked for that hardware yet, but its the exact same concept as the chipped keys, minus having a hardware based lock.

Had my dodge 1500 stolen, walked out from work and it was gone. Weird feeling, was found 3 weeks later in the ghetto completely stripped. Ended up getting a mustang gt outa it though so not so bad.
