so how about an aprilia rs125 instead?

i had a thread asking opinions on a 250 track bike...opinions were about what i had expected, just not as many as i had expected...
i have also been thinking about an aprilia 125... from what i am reading it actually has a slightly higher top end than either of the 250's is lighter and more nimble...
i know it will cost a bit more, and maintenance will likely cost a little more too, but that is one nice looking bike...
the thing that confuses me about it is the bike comes with head lights and tail light installed, but no wiring harness.... so while they are on the bike they are not functional...the bike is sold as a race bike and if you were to want the lights to work and have the bike be street legal the wiring harness set up is an extra $700 or so, not a problem as i will not be using it on the street... but that means i either have to tape up every track day or remove the lights and then there will be holes in the fairings, or am i wrong... it would seem that if it is sold as a track/race bike there would be no lights... if someone knows something i do not, educate me

If your willing to spend that much why not think about a Honda RS125 race bike? They're purpose built for the race track and look like a blast!

I think you should get both and let me test them out for you. Which ever one I wreck the least can be guaranteed to be the most forgiving.
