First we want to send a big thank you out to the CMRA as a whole. What a horrid weekend to start the season on and you guys did a fantastic job still putting on a great event!! Kuddos to you guys!!!
Friday was a wash literally, and Saturday didn't start so well either. After loosing my canopy and cleaning up the mayhem left behind from the storm, it was finally time to go racing.
Saturday saw the SCRacecenter.com KTM Racing RC8RS piloted by Ty Howard, Brian West, Jeremy Louder, Ryan Andrews and Shea Fouchek take the overall win by 6 laps in just 3.5 hours of racing. Over the off season we installed the new Ohlins 30mm NIX cartridges in the forks on the bike and everyone on the team loved them. We never touched a dial on the forks all weekend. Congratulations guys on a great race and what a way to start the season!!!!
Sunday brought a whole new set of challenges for us and things seemed to go fairly well. Ty Howard went 4 for 4 making his debut on our new Ohlins set up pretty impressive, not to mention he was on a completely new tire that he had no time on as well. Shea Fouchek got his first expert win starting from the 8th row in all of his races and followed that up with a 2nd 3rd and 5th, Eric Williams got his first expert win as well in the SV classes, and Austin Gore won 3 races on his SV650 as well.
While these are just some of the high points from the weekend, we want to send a big thank you out to all of our customers, friends and families for their help and support. You guys make this all possible and keep us motivated to do what we do!!!
Congrats everyone, thanks and see you at TWS (Texas World Speedway)
