"Small government...small government...small government..."

...but the state should DEFINITELY be able to seize private property to thwart plans contrary to those leading the state

Yeah? you and your brand of "small government"...

...and THIS GUY is a Tea Party favorite who just won his primary over Cuomo. Those leading Tea Party are reminding me more and more of the fundamentalist German workers party folks with every passing day. Sure, there are some good candidates but there are also some very bad ones...

Wow, strong fail with these guys.

My favorite is Palin, saying she won't "sit in a seat of judgment and tell people what they can and can't do", but she supports banning gay marriages and ammending the constitution to defining marriage as a man ad a woman...essentially telling gays they can't marry each other.

He will use the process of imminent domain to assume government control of the of all gays and then build memorials in them. That's how he'll put an end to the gay marriage debate.

It's a freaking shame that we have to put up with both dominant parties making a mockery of constitutional restrictions on government. Both parties are equally fervent in their assaults on the Constitution and the rights of the people. They just attack from different angles. They have our rights and the Constitution trapped between them in a crossfire. How can we have so many politicians so blatantly ignorant of the most fundamental principles of our government?

Wait what? WHAT?

"I wish there was a law on a federal level that would define a marriage between one man and one woman. But I don't want to be in the seat of judgement telling people what they can and can't do."

This is why the rest of the world thinks we are complete morons. And they are right to do so. I feel ashamed.

I am so off right now.

This country is going to in a handbasket. I love this country for some of the most amazing people I have met in world. I would enlist and give my life for those people if it was called upon me to do so.

But the blatant ignorance, the greed, the materialism, the in-fighting, the hypocrisy is starting to show its ugly face in more places than I care to look. It's a disgrace.

"Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'" - Asimov
