Thrilling Hill Country Ride...Oct. 26 and 27...
UPDATE: Due to flooding and road closures in the area the ride is cancelled.
There alot of interest in a Hill Country ride so lets do it...we will have a short fri. afternoon ride for those that want to come in that day...we will start around 2 pm. Sat. Ride will be a full day ride..should be around 250 miles and 5 to 7 hours long...start time will be around 8 to 9 am. Please read this carefully: Everyone is welcome BUT do realize this is a very technical ride up in the hills...drastic elevation changes and severe sharp and blind turns at times...if your a newer rider or not somewhat experienced at cornering im adding another group leader for a slower paced ride. Details below. UPDATE: My good friend Bud who is Budzrex on the board here has graciously offered to lead a group for newer riders who want to enjoy the Hill Country but may not feel comfortable at a faster pace. Bud knows the area extremely well and has lead many rides. His knowledge of the area makes it perfect for those who have never ridden there. This will be a perfect chance to experience the ride in a very relaxed non-stress way. I will make a sign up for that group and my group. Please post which group you want to ride in. We will be staying in Ingram at riverlodging.com Heres what they have available as of today...1-2 bedroom at $175 a night..you can put 6 in there if you hide the other 2...lol I spoke to the owner and she’s ok with that. 3-1 bedroom at $125 night...4 people ok 1-1 bedroom nicer unit at $150 night...4 people ok 1-3 bedroom at $225 night...8 people ok If you make reservations dont mention extra people ive worked that out with owner. This is a wonderfull place to stay. They are actually houses with full kitchens and all household goodies. The rates are extremely reasonable for what you get...split the costs to save money. The rides both days will start from there so it would be great if everyone could stay there. We are trailering so it will be up to you to get there. This trip will be based on good weather for those days. If the weather looks bad i will cancel it. Any questions you may have your welcome to call me...979-251-6249 If you’ve never done one of these its a blast. “The Morganator Group”—- moderate/possibly spirited at times 1. Me 2. Ronin?...hehe 3. VictorSmith39 4. Motokp 5. WABFZ1 6. RustinR 7. Jcap 8. 675R 9. Gixxerguy86 10. Haas 11. JR88 Budzrex Group ——relaxed non-stress pace for newer riders 1. Princess 2. RTRHD |

I should be in town that weekend and since its my normal ride area I will be happy to lead one of your groups if you end up having enough people to break it up into multiple groups.
Otherwise I will just come out and ride with you guys. I will probably just stay at home as it does not take me long to get out there in the mornings. I can get a nice ride in on the way out there while you are still doing your morning polish on that new Tuono ![]() ![]() |

Count me in. I need to get out more and this should be a great ride, and opportunity for camaraderie and telling of war stories.

In! As long as I could find someone to help trailering my bike to and from houston :(
Keith, Do we have to book at least 2 nights there? All the available rooms on their website have at least 2 nights requirement? |
