Who rode in today?

I just got to work in stafford a few minutes ago. holy .

When I left home in richmond it was not even raining, but I saw a tornado warning message on the amber alert sign. A few exits later it was raining bad, but still just raining. Exit W Airport and realize all of stafford is flooded.

To anyone working at Texas Instruments, sorry about your nice field, I was the riding/sliding across it because it wasn't as flooded as the road.

Somehow through sidewalks, yards, fields, wrong way down a one-way, and a few very sketchy crossings we made it. I'm proud of my Triumph. At one point water rushed up to my knees, but the bike kept on just fine.

anyone else ride in?

Lol you didn't see the forecast? I would have been screwed in the flash flood. I wonder if riding through water has the same effects as the a car/truck with the wheel bearings.

Are you telling me figuring out how to get myself to work when everyone else won't is bad press? you honestly think a 300lb bike did more damage than a flash flood, and a possible tornado soon to follow?

press. I got to work.

No , I do the same in my truck to avoid flood water. Guess I'm giving trucks bad press. But I'm ok with that, I am bad press

I don't recall . Only relaying. I had a crazy ride to work. By the time I found myself in a flash flood it was a little late to go back home.

This is a motorcycle forum. A place for people to share motorcycle experiences, kinda like this one.

I like my job, and my transportation choices just fine, .

Then you obviously don't know me, sally. I welcome a challenge on the bike. I made it through. I got to work, when co-workers with SUVs truned around because 'they couldn't make it'.

At least my crazy weather thread is related to motorcycles.

I have no other mode of transportation so I took my bike knowing it was gonna rain today. I am planning on getting off early around 3 or so. This way I dont have to deal with the weather, and backed up rush hour traffic.... I always check the forecast but its not like I could take a car, even if I wanted to. the streets in front of my office here off of corporate dr and 59 are all flooded, lol... I will see what my gsxr is made of on the way home, thats for sure.

lookout for debree under water. Also, the sidewalks are some times less flooded.
