Thoughts on 2020 Suzuki GSX-S 750

Have a chance at a decent deal on a GSX-S 750 (ABS, too).

Any thoughts?
Power satisfactory?
Nimble?
Fun?

Been on a GSXR1000 for 15 years, but she might be dying. Waiting on the diagnostics.

just rebuild the gixxer

the GSX-S surprised me. it's a hideous bike IMO but man it rides super nice. very smooth power delivery, butter smooth transmission and shifting, predictable and confident handling, great brakes, great power, great ergonomics, can't say anything bad about how the bike rides. but it's just.... bland

I’m just at the point where I might have to draw the line before my gsxr turns into a money pit. Just have to see what the FI code is. Could just be a bad sensor.

I actually dig the styling and have always had an affinity for a naked/street fighter styled bike.

To each their own.

Thanks for the input on the mechanics, though. It’s hard to find reviews that seem honest these days.

That's a hard line to draw. I know from experience, that when it's gone... you'll see that it wasn't that bad and you should've just kept it going. You know it inside and out and it's as good as any other well kept machine. Buying new is great too, but it comes with a price.

I take back what I said about the GSX-S as an ugly bike, it isn't bad looking, I was thinking about the GSX-S 1000F the '22 model looks pretty cool

Right on. The F is awful!

Looking like I might sell my bike and get another GSXR1000 or some such. I just can’t walk away from stupid liter bike power.

The newer sport nakeds aren't very far off and make more torque. I rode a katana which has the exact same motor as the 2005 GSXR 1000
