Stolen: Victory Isle of Man TT Zero racebike
The Victory Motorcycles electric racebike that was ridden by Lee Johnston to a third-place finish in this year's Isle of Man TT Zero race has been reported stolen from where it was displayed at Brammo Engineering headquarters in Talent, Oregon. The motorcycle was on display with complete race bodywork shown (with Johnston's number 3, although Victory/Brammo state that it's likely the bodywork was removed or painted over to mask its origin). The VIN number stamped on the frame is no. 004, and a $1000 reward has been posted for information leading to the unique motorcycle's recovery. Individuals with information or who feel they may have seen this motorcycle should contact the Talent Oregon Police Department investigating officer Bill May at (541)535-1253, and cite case number 15-2149.
The teams from Victory and Brammo are gutted that thieves made off with this important piece of motorcycling history, and appreciate the diligence and assistance of motorcycle enthusiasts across the country. They request that those in the Pacific Northwest in particular be on the lookout. With its unique construction and application, the Victory electric bike would be theoretically be difficult for thieves to sell off. Updates will be made on the Victory and Brammo Facebook pages as new information becomes available.
