My youngest son plays the guitar and has been playing for almost 8 years (got him started when he was 6). Not trying to sound like one of those "oh my little johnny is amazing" when in fact he sucks, but my son really is kickass with the acoustic and electric guitar.

He'd be more than willing to give you lessons Thomas, he taught a friend of his that's blind how to play, so surely he can teach you
hellz ya he is. i still have video of him playing that concert at the end of summer on my phone. her kid is really good.

I've been playing drums for 17 years, and guitar for about 10. I like to think that I'm a pretty decent drummer (Henry and Shawn came to one of my shows this past weekend and seemed to enjoy it), and I'm not as good at guitar but I can definitely hold my own.

My band's myspace: http://www.myspace.com/trancend , our album is going to be released shortly after the first of the year.
My music myspace, has some songs from some bands I've recorded with in the past: http://www.myspace.com/wilkitchens

Drums since 6th grade. Unfortunately when I moved to an apartment a few years back I had to get rid of my drum set.

Guitar since 7th grade. In the past few years I only play every now and then when I have time.

I suck at both.

SO... this is what i was thinking..

So.. the reason i was asking was because I think it would be really cool if we all used our talent towards something together..
For example.. we could get a group together and put on a show to raise money for a good cause

so ya.. still trying to brainstorm.. but if anyone has any suggestions I'm an open book

Thanks! I played all three for 4 years, but gave up orchestra when I had kids. Tried to pick it back up about 5 years ago, but just couldn't get back in the swing of it, due to health issues which caused severe arthritis in my hands. Since overcoming that, I've just lost the drive and dedication needed for it. Oh, my oldest plays the base guitar and drums as well...he's just not as determined as my youngest at harnessing and furthering his abilities

Sometimes I strum on my ukulele...I'm self-taught, so you wouldn't really want to hear me play.

I played jazz sax alto, tenor, and baritone since 1998. Lately they just sit in the corner for decoration
