I take all the pads and armor out, throw it in the washing machine on cold, and hang dry. Works great!

That's a relief, I put my jacket to wash 5 minutes ago and was regreting it...so DON'T put it on the dryer...right?

Correct. If I remember correctly, that's also what the tag said on mine too. But I wouldn't risk it either way. Let it hang dry over night in a well ventilated area and it'll be dry in the morning.


And smell fresh! Free of road grime and bugs. lol

Hah, that might be a nice idea. My mesh was also part leather, so that may have been the reason it said no dryer.

i soaked mine in the tub with some soap and shampoo and then let it air dry for a couple of days. i took the pads out... i wish i hadnt, because now i cant get the fit quite right.
the jacket was good as new (fit aside) and it smelled good.

Follow the label instructions. Mine says not to immurse in water or put in dryer but I have a front loading HE washer and I wash it on gentle. I let it hang to dry and it only takes a few hours.
