MSRH 2/9/19

I'll be attending my first track day at MSRH Feb 9th.

Just wanted to see if anyone was going and wanted to link up. Possibly show me the ropes.

Congratulations!!! I'll be one of the instructors that day. Not sure what level they'll assign me to but I'll be glad to help in any way I can. There's also tons of people on this forum that are frequent track riders. I'm sure they'll chime in too. Welcome to the addiction!!

When it warms up, I'll be back out there. I'm pretty sure its going to be cold on that day.

More than likely I will be there instructing lvl2, but the entire staff is always there to help make you feel at home and at ease. Just find someone in a Ride Smart Shirt and they will be happy to answer and direct you in anyway they can. Congrats on your first track day, Welcome to your new addiction!

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm very excited to go! Doing track days have Always been a goal since I got into motorcycles.

I'm not to worried about the cold since I'll be my first day. I plan on taking it nice and slow. Working on my skills rather than speed.

Ok, it is...

Last week I couldn't post anything here (technical issues on the server side, or so it seemed).

In preparation, you can check out this video where I go over pretty much everything I did to get ready for my 1st track day... you may find something helpful there...

There's also this video where I talk through finding your way around MSRH:

And last but not least, if you're in the Houston area, come join us at this month's Beyond the Track meeting, happening this Wednesday. We'll have a special section just to go over any questions first-timers might have, as well as some more tips that we may not have covered before.

Way to go!

Take it very easy. The track will be cold. Learn the track layout first and foremost. No need to rush.

Get ready to be addicted!

I will be there but not riding yet. Just hanging out and helping around on my pit bike.
I'm going to be camping with the RV, and if you need help with anything just let me know.
I tend to take way more things that I really need...

I was planning on renting a uhaul van myself. Thanks for the vid. I'll definitely be watching it. I live in jersey village so I'm about an hour away from the track.

You're welcome.

Renting a uhaul van is what I did for my first track day, too. Then I figured I really wanted to keep doing track days, so I got a bike carrier, which works really well for me:

I'll be there as well. You're already off to a great start. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.

I've reserved canopy #15 at MSRH to host exclusively first-timers, so to make a little easier for me to help out whoever would like some help. I was helped in such manner on my 1st track day and I know that has made a difference for me.

My good friend Jason will be our neighbor and has also volunteered to help out.

Awesome!! I already checked going on the facebook page. Now just a few things to prep on the bike and I'll be ready to go. I also started watching videos and printed the track map so I can learn the layout, turn names etc...
