2014 RMZ450 for sale. This bike has been professionally maintained. Nothing bent, tweaked, or stripped. Valves recently checked and perfectly in spec. Oil and filter meticulously maintained. Suspension completely rebuilt by JM Racing 9 hrs. ago. ProTaper bars and Yoshi muffler. Still has stock chain and sprockets. This is the last year of the coil spring forks before Suzuki went to the air fork which has been abandoned for 2018. The suspension on this bike is amazing.

If you know us, you know we keep our bikes in excellent condition.

Last seen at Lockwood/Crane last night. Few guys who saw my post on a FB group saw the bike and are going to keep a lookout.(the thief actually drove it to a shell station and was filling it up..) I'm sure if we recover it, we wont get it back in any condition to sell, other than parting it out. Homeowners insurance doesn't cover "any motorcycle not registered for the street".. and we only had the dual sports and street bike with their own policies.. until now.

We met the guy to sell it, the rest is history. From now on, I'm open-carrying when I sell .. and never driving anywhere to do it. Stupid move, lesson learned.

So he followed you home and stole it or robbed you when you showed up?

Sounds like the work of the 12 O'clock boys. Cops will get them eventually. They have been known to show off.

Recovered.

Short version of what happened. Found an ad on offer- up. Then in one of the photos, saw his address ended in 905.. so I went to google maps and listed all the streets within about a 2 mi radius.. then went to Hcad and pulled up each street one by one, ctl-f the 905, then went to street view in google till I found the house. Took about an hour and a half.

Meanwhile we had a friend set up a fake 'buy'. Had friends and the cops meet us.Unfortunately, he changed the meet location at the last minute to a small private rundown repair shop in the middle of a neighborhood. Some young 20 yr old kid rolled the bike out, police pulled in and put him on the ground. Meanwhile, a car full of guys , slung around the corner with their windows down and hands out.. the cops saw them take off and went off after them.
Unfortunately they could not detain those guys, they had no warrants and were not in possession of the bike. The kid was working in that repair shop when one of the guys dropped off the bike to check for an issue.. and said someone (us) might come by to look at it.
No one went to jail. We gave the bike to our friend to sell. Makes me sick just looking at it.
I sure wish this fool would be in jail... I hate a thief. Guess he was smarter than we gave him credit for.

As our friend drove home with the bike, he circled the thiefs home and honked. At least that made my day.

The owner of the home in HCAD (who ownes about five other properties in the area) is a deceased woman in her 70's. Vital statistics records indicate she passed away around 2016.

I won't provide the address... but I WILL share photos of the Offer-Up Ad along with a home I found that matches those photos. The address of that home is listed on that photo.

In one photo you can see the basic elevation of the house even though the truck is blocking some of the view. This truck was also for sale (probably also stolen as the ad is gone now). In another photo towards the upper left by the front door, you can see the "905" house numbers.

The Hayabusa in the photos was also listed for sale. The listing is now gone also, probably also stolen.

He was down the road so his truck wouldn't be noticed and spook the thief. By the time he got to the actual scene, they had already released the other guys. When he asked if he could go and identify the guy, he was then told (whether or not it is true) that it wouldnt matter, because he didn't do it within 4 hours of the original incident.

That makes no sense. The guy committed robbery. Why wouldn't they investigate it? Jurisdiction?
