Need TMGP advice

It's been a while since I ran TMGP, but after some drinks, our old CMRA group of motard yahoos have decided to field an endurance team next year.

I need advice as to what class to run so we can have some people to mix it up with and not be the only team in a class.

We prefer motards style four strokes with 17 inch tires.

Also, how many riders are allowed per team?

Lastly, any bikes for sale that would fit whatever class is recommended?

Thank you in advance.

Well for 17in wheels u have the ttr125 or xr/crf100 and if u want to be competitive I would say the Honda is your best bet.

As far as what class, all I will say is takagawa makes some very healthy bore kits that will make u competitive in any of the 3 classes.

I have a ttr 125 with a fresh 150bbk and 17 inch wheels. I may be letting it go. Hit me up and lets make a deal.

Various Equipment for various uses.
Dirt, Street, Track, Dual Sport, I like em all.

5 people per year per team. I would do something like an xr100 motor in the chassis you prefer. This past season i believe the F7 class needed more teams and the F5 class was crowded.

I am interested in EK's offering of the F5 bike, but need to be sure the team is up for an F5 since it's a two stroke dominated class.

If you have an F7 or F6 option, please send me the details.

If its the bike I'm thinking about, the chassis of Obed's is nice!

you need a super strong well handling 4-stroke to be competitive against those kx's

I agree. That's the challenge with a four stroke in F5. Waiting on the team to give some feedback do we can make a decision.

Too bad you can’t run 17’s on the KTM 65.

2018 Grom (the little track toy)

Looking at final results, of the top 16 teams there were 2 F7 expert, 2 F7 novice, 3 F6, 8 F5, and 1 Grom class. A total of 39 different teams ran in 2018 and half were F5. Only about 15 teams ran more than 2 rounds.

Stanton, I have the KX 85 listed for sale here on the site. You could sleeve down the 85 to a 72cc and run heads up against Andrews and Phillips. The bike needs to go. Hate to put it back to an mx bike.

I know all your equipment is top notch, so it is tempting, but the team prefers a four stroke.

As for me going head to head with Andrews and Phillips, well that's a bit of an exaggeration...I'd be a large speed bump to them as they lap me every few laps, lol.
