interesting... I was surprised to see some viper pilots in that clip. I know for a fact that military officers and roid's don't mix well with uncle sam.

I work with an ex-viper pilot (F-16 for the non-informed) and he commented that F-16s more than any other fighter in our inventory was killer on the body because of the high g manuevers and the ergonomics of the seat. The seat is reclined to give the pilots that extra little bit of G tolerance, however in a dogfight, that reclined seat makes it difficult for the pilots to look around and so there's a lot of straining of the back and neck ... lots of pilots were on pain meds just to deal with that.

I too know about the vipers specifications, I know a few who driven/drove for the 147th and 149th. Yes, it can be hard on the body, however the FAA requires a specified time period between taking (some) medication's and flying... so you won't find these guys making a habit about it. To add, I belive these pill's in the clip are "go pills" or amphetamine to give them the boost for the soon to come flood of information. As a Pro-Rec SNA, I have been through intense screenings for drug use or abuse for my TS clearance. All I am really saying, drug use as a officer in the military is not taken lightly.
