Is it worth it? CB450

I basically have an opportunity to get riding again.

I've been offered a 1968 Honda CB450. 5-speed. Drum brakes only. Been sitting for 20+ years. Ran when parked. $200

Considering that I will have to take about 3 months and $600 to make it rideable again, is it worth it? The biggest turn-off for me is the drum brakes.

This is what it would look like. cb450tam

Drum brakes work just fine when they are adjusted right.

if your even having to think bout it you should not be allowed to purchase. we are all willing to get this thing. so do us all a favor and throw down the cash so we can see this thing at some meet and greets

I actually called and told him I will pick it up. Now I just need someone with a truck either on Fri or Sat-Sun evening.

Any takers? Beer? Gas?

Its a sweet bike. My friend has one and loves it. While it may be rideable it will buzz you to death and the oldschool suspension will make you feel every single bump on the road. Otherwise, I think its a great bike and would love to have one myself

lots of em

teh tank alone is a couple hundred on the bay, I have one here.
cool bike, for 200, and the motor isnt locked up, wouldnt hurt to get it, although we havent seen it to make a good judgement, but for 200, cant go to wrong, could always part it out and make way more than that.
