Lost Key (Question)

I've got a 2006 GSXR 600 with FL plates, FL DMV paperwork, and small stub from title with previous owner's name and address and title number...(Don't have actual title in hand, just the small stub).

What I need is the key to the bike.. can I walk into any Suzuki dealership and get the key ordered or do I have to call a lock smith?

Anyone been through this route before? What'd you do?

Thanks in Advance

The title is on the way - should take about 3-4 weeks to get here. I'm just helping a buddy out with this as he can't seem to wait till he gets the title.

Locksmith would charge $180 to come out and do it - who charges $80?

PMs responded..

japawhat has done that work before. Not sure what he charges.

You would just need to order a key fob off ebay or somewhere(blank.)

Dealer(car level) we need to a copy of your DL, Insurance and proof of ownership.

Take the ignition cylinder off and take it to a lock smith, normally less than 25 bucks, I had to get a new gas cap and a locksmith made me my key for 25.00
