I ride pretty much all the time, but if I know I will be getting stuck in traffic I avoid the bike like the plague. There is no need to put myself through the discomfort of inside the loop traffic in 100 degree heat. Plus I like to wear flip flops and shorts sometimes (my lazy side emerges).

I've been riding all year round even in this heat. Commuting on 610, 59, 8 and yes stuck in traffic.

Is it too hot to ride? Probably yes.

Will I continue to ride. ya!!!

Too each their own. Someone said it before here - just stay hydrated on the rides and try to keep moving. At some point it can become dangerous to ride and get dehydrated if you are not prepared.

It's never too hot or two cold. In February I wear a fleece under the leather. Right now it's a mesh jacket. Used the bike to commute 9 of the last 10 days, only took the truck one day because carrying a jeep bumper on a 'tard is a .

I will draw the line at rain. For no other reason than I'm too cheap to buy proper rain gear.

Now riding to an EJ in traffic, with all my gear and a leather perf. jacket... that blew hairy goat .

I don't think there's a 'wind chill' table that covers those parameters.

So far never to hot... but wont lie yesterday flying down westhiemer really made me think about it :|

heat has a bad habit of draining strength, so as I see from the posts I hope all the riders drink double to triple the water. cars really are stupid in the heat also. Around here ive noticed it also... dont make much sense to me, just dodge give stupid looks and try to keep moving.

If I'm going to school or anywhere else, no thanks bcause its too hot. I don't like being sweaty and stinky when I get there. But if I am on a ride to nowhere, or some place like Galveston, then I'm okay with it but I've only been to Galveston once, and it wasn't this hot. Plus I only take short rides, anyway so maybe I should just say no.

I spent 6 hours today, and 8 hours yesterday..outside, digging. Riding in this heat, would be almost heaven in comparison.
