Another Tint Ticket

I was driving down hwy 3 yesterday on my way home and here comes webster motorcycle cop pulls me over says my tint is to dark!!!! Puts meter on it and gives me a 200.00 dollar ticket!!!! Man I am a bad criminal!!! They should get me off the streets!!!! So I call the court and ask them If I take it off will it be dismissed??? She tells me no you will still have to pay 200.00!!! that I will pay the ticket and keep my tint on and stay out of webster!!! So I call a friend that is a pct 8 constable to see what he can do!! He calls a buddy that works for webster and says this is a new cop and that is all he does all day and is a real and will not pull any tickets!!!!He even gives other cops tickets is what he tells my friend!!!! So I guess here go's another 200.00!!!!

Here's a clue - too dark of tint on the front windows IS AGAINST THE LAW! Why are you so surprised? I think it was crappy of the cop to pull you over for JUST that, if that was the case but any way you look at it, it's illegal to have >20% tint.

I thought about getting a lawyer and dragging it out for a while but it is cheaper to just pay the ticket!!!! that is how I feel all the going on in the world and they are worried about window tint!!! Now if I had been speeding or something else and he wrote me for that to then fine!!! But they sure are not worried about are fellow member who had his bike stolen from webster!!!

It's an expensive ticket but at least it's not a moving violation.

See post #2 in this thread. anything over 20% on the front winders is ILLEGAL... although, it's probably hard to tell difference between 20% and 30%.

see the link in #2. It's 20% which, IMO is barely a tint, but it's the law nontheless.

30% allows more light through and is perfectly legal. The % is the amount of light that is allowed to pass through. Limo tint is 5%...it only allows 5% of the light through. So the correct equation would be that it is illegal to have <20% tint.
