From another forum...

Quote:
He was supposed to get surgery on his neck , back & wrist yesterday. the neck alone took over 8 and they still not done with his neck. They have him in a medical induced coma. he will probly go back into surgery again today. there seems to be no swelling in the brain so that danger is hopefully gone. we just have to pray that the docs can put him back together again. pray that all the surgerys go well. He has my support for anything he may need and I'm sure that us as *another forum name here*, Killer Bee Racing, Ridesmart Family or just riders period will show him support the best way we can as a hugh family. Its amazing how two wheels can bring complete strangers to be come a family

when i was there yesterday...

he didn't go into surgery until about 4pm...

it's still up in the air... they wouldn't release any information unless you were a 'direct' family member... but his family is with him

let's continue keep him in our prayers...

His real name is Brennon Torres but everyone call's him Ricky Torres or Ricky.

If you met him you would have known it! Just an amazing guy! I was telling him about missing Lousiana one day and he gave me like a whole to go box of boudin he had made for my trip home. Just a really good guy and a fellow to boot.

I wish I lived closer I would so go and see him!

PM a room number if anyone has it, address of the hospital, anything so that I can send a get well to him! I live in Austin and don't have any information...

Thanks for the updates guys!

He had surgery yesterday and it was unfinished, so they're going in right now to complete the surgery. His hand is still not fixed yet.

He was able to wake up and responded to his mom with nods. He has feeling every where. He is able to move everything. He may be somewhat limited with movement but that can be helped with therapy.

The only thing now is to see how he recovers from surgery. But it is looking very positive so far.

Thank you to all his bike friends for the prayers and concern. Please continue to pray for Ricky and his family. We have a 10 yr old son and it is very hard on all of us right now.

I'll try to keep updating his myspace with posts as we know more.

Thx for the update! We are praying for him and Amanda. I have only met Ricky once, and was immediately taken in by his big grin and contagious laughter! You can tell right away that he is an awesome person. If there is any way we can help, just let us know!

I received an update earlier this afternoon: Apparently the 17 yr old walked away from the accident close to unscathed. From what I was told, Ricky's doctors are optimistic, but he'll have a good amount of recovery time and therapy. Prayers for he and Amanda's full recoveries, and thank you for the phone call earlier guys.

Sounds very positive for Ricky; I too will say he's always been upbeat since I've met him. Thank you for the updates. Im not sure about his beliefs but our kids at church have him in their prayers

Quick sidenote... Leghumping is fine online but people in the hospital need their rest. Be courteous to family and patients. Seriously thats really sad. Visitors are welcome but unless you really do know the family and her well, be respectful. That's all Im going to comment.
