question

I wanted to get some of yalls input on this. No post whoring. I just bought a bike from a buddy that was still financed i paid it off. I was wondering how long does it take to get the title in. He was to hold onto the bike till it does so he isnt responsible for anything. Is there any possible deal that will take the responibility out of his hands so i can go ahead and bring it home.

So you bought a bike from your buddy and paid it off for him? The title will be sent to him, unless there was some kind of paperwork done (I'm thinking). So, in actuality, he will own the bike until the title is signed over into your name.

I would take the bike now...that way he will have to sign the bike over in your name...or else, he could hypothetically, get his title in hand and take off...

When i bought my Mustang, we had to go to the court house & get an official bill of sale document.
no cost to you, just ask for it.
Then the usual transfer of title work \ documents are needed.
Not familar about what is needed when there is a lein other than an original lein release is needed.
