Rode this route today.....LONG

Brookshire

Got a late start today for a long ride, this is a pretty good route if you are looking for something besides the Forrest or Crabb. We left from League City at about 1:15p and got back to Hooters at Nasa at 7:00p....that was with only 2-15 min breaks for fuel. Total mileage was only 250 miles but a lot of slow speed/traffic stuff when heading out of town. This route gives you a little Brookshire, a little Belville and depending on how exactly you come home, you could easily ride some Forrest. Just throwing this out there for those of you looking for something new.

My advice though is to leave early in the morning to beat some heat. 98* was no joke in leathers. I'll be a sore tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a safe riding weekend.

Gary, I didn't post up because I wanted to ride it first and see if it was worth a . Bluewave, Joebusa and Yeobhjisaf were all supposed to go with us but they 'd out. Me and R1LE#18 rode it out. We will definetly do it again....but we'll use a better map next time as we got lost and added a bunch of miles besides the mapped route.

I'll post up for the next one. All day ride for sure.

OK.....I don't remember seeing 390.... I need to find it and see how we can incorporate it in the loop. I am actually thinking of cutting the 1887s to 359n loop out of the ride. That added about 40 mins to the ride with minimal curves so....I could easily bypass that. Gonna trim it up some. Hopefully some other members will get some use out of this map though.

Big vag. here. It was too fugging hot after a whole day of fence building the day prior. Galveston was bad enough. Our route was from La Porte to H2O to Captain Jacks to Palapas to Sams Boat and home. I drank the most water at bars yesterday than have before.

yeah it was a long ride for us no doubt.... it took us 1.5 hrs just to get to the START of the route on the map. Next time, we will take I10 all the way to Brookshire or Sealy then start from there..... 529 SUX.

6hrs in the seat is about all I can take in one day....Especially on the 1000...
