Jake, i know you are supposed to be getting your rig assignment/training schedule soon so i just wanted to wish you good luck on the new job!!! WORK SAFE out there bro, b/c if you slack off at the wrong time it could cost you your life. Always look out for yourself first, and keep your fingers out of the way!!! That job will take you a long way if you show you can work hard and listen to directions. Have a safe hitch. Jet

Offshore drilling for Diamond Offshore, one of the best drilling contractors out there. His job duties will change depending on how modern the rig is, but either way it will be hard work, in the sun, for 84+ hours a week. It should be no problem for Jake, he seems like a hard worker. Actually, some roustabout duties are on dirty jobs right now on the the disc. channel. check it out Jake!!!

IF you have any interest in working offshore, put it on the discovery channel RIGHT NOW!!! After you watch, you will understand why they pay so well, and you will probably understand why it takes a certain type of man to do this kind of work.

roustabout does suck, but it pays, and you move up fast!!! Some roustabouts don't do but mop/sweep/paint, and that would suck more to me, b/c that makes for a long day. this work is not for everyone. WORK SAFE JAKE

There's nothing like being in the Oil Patch! Be safe out there slingin those chains! We'll have to throw down some stories when I get the outta here (Yemen Desert)! March 24th can't come any sooner! It's been 6 weeks since I've had my oil changed and oh by the way... I'll be up to my nuts in guts for the first week, so I won't be able to meet you guys until I come up for air.

Peace
