I would shy away from 'flat rate' tuners.

THe work required varies greatly from bike to bike.

I used Andy with Metric. He did a great job and updated mine with very minimal cost. I would highly recommend.

Yes, you need PC.

I'd rather not disclose what I payed. It may be more or less, depending on the work required to make it 'right' and what you want.

Reread my post above.

So what your saying is, Take my bike up there and discuss how much it will be? Or let him work it then tell me the price?? Also do you know what model Dynamometer he uses?

Call Northwest Honda 281-447-3476 Ask for Corky or Waylon, I'm sure they'll give you a price before you go.

Can't remember the model he uses. Dynojet 250 maybe?

You should call him. Discuss what you're looking for.

In person, with cash, he's very likely to negotiate pricing

About $300 for a full custom map, built using the load brake on the dyno....True tuning at every throttle position. Only way to go.

Locally:

Metric Cycles
Also uses a load brake style dyno(Super Flow or Factory Pro), also a tuning perfectionist. I highly recommend him if you are wanting to stay in town.

Tejas Motorsports
They have a great dyno room and a nice DJ250i dyno. The problem is, their tuner(very knowledgeable) doesn't use the load brake for part throttle tuning...Not near as accurate but on most bikes with stock engines, its accurate enough. I think Billy gets $250 for a full map. This will be good enough for most but definetly not in the league of Johnny Cheese or Metric for getting every last HP at all throttle positions.

I have never dealt with any of the other locals but I know there is a ton of them. I would stick with these 3.
