So I got into my first wreck today...

My first wreck that involved another vehicle. I feel very lucky.

I was behind a car that got cut off, and naturally they slammed their brakes... And by the time I started dodging I realized... I don't wanna slam into this car at this angle and said screw it... Locked the back breaks... So I literally bounce off the back passenger quarter panel of this little tiburon... Somehow I managed to stay on, but my leg absorbred much of the brunt of the collision, being between the bike and the car and all... And then I again managed to stay on as I zipped off and jumped a curb into a relatively empty parking lot...

I really got out of this lucky... Snapped the foot peg off my shifter, and broke the lip of my plastics where they flatten out to even out with the frame. Slight paint scuffage.

Biggest problem? I couldn't find my cell phone after the whole ordeal, so now I'm out of a cell phone.

All this made me realize what guys who have really gone down go through. I was so shaken, and tramautized...

So kudos to anyone who gets into a serious wreck, comes out alive, and rides again...

And even more kudos to those who didn't survive or were injured beyond riding again...

wrecks suck big time...glad you are okay. I almost had a mishap on Saturday on 1960. 3 car pile up and I would have been number 4. Dumbass cagers sitting in the left lane to make a turn instead of the center "shared" lane. I did one bad endo that missed the fool by like 1 foot literally. Haven't done any endo's in about a year, but sure am glad I used to practice them back in the day.

That same exact thing happened to me on 1960, but traffic was moving slow, and i didnt hit another car. I tried not to lock my backbrakes, but since there was so much oil on the road, it did anyway, so i lost all my stopping power. then i must of hit a dry spot in the road or somthing and highsided..
I know how ya feel man, it sucks . Good thing you're all right!

Glad to hear you are ok, but I am curious why you locked up your rear brake? Did you not use your front brake? or did the panic reaction lock up the rear? As I said, Im just curious, not criticizing or anything.
