Speeding tickets blow! I know an HPD "lady" officer that made a homemade , while she was in Iraq. It's on xtube, from what I heard... the dude she made the with, was her husbands best friend at the time!! If I find it, I'll post the link.... someone in HPD, should secretly make tons of copies and put it in everyones lockers.... owned!

That is all.
I understood that was all in the "system" now so when they run your plates they should know if you have active insurance.

Certainly he could have called it in to check if you had a current policy.

BTW - I keep a copy in my wallet and another in the glove box.

This I want to see. I'll make copies, and the next time I get busted, after I recieve my ticket, I'll hand a DVD to the officer and say, "Now here's a little something for you. Enjoy! Toodles!"

77mph is moving along pretty good for that part of the fwy.

FWIW most cops will allow you 10-13 over.

+1 No insurance tickets are just a waste of time if you actually have a policy.

77MPH in the left lane in a new performance vehicle with ABS, traction control, and stability control at 8:30 PM, light traffic, on a clear day, following the line of cars in front of me is not "asking for it", "dangerous", requiring MSF, or any other comments some of you guys are spouting off. I was coming out of the underground area, where another left lane starts, and heading over the Kirby bridge. Copper was on a shoulder barely wide enough for his car. I exited freeway and service road to the right, despite his attempts to point me to the left breakdown lane of the freeway. Stopping there for a ticket....that is dangerous and unsafe.

Stupid would be the officer NOT ticketing me for failure to show proof of insurance. I agree a system should be in place to tie your DL to your insurance, to your registration, and to your state inspection. If you can't pay, don't play. But I showed him the electronic copy of my insurance, as emailed to me by our Motohouston insurance sponsor, but he would not accept it. That kind of bothers me, but it just means now I have to GO to court to show I had proof of insurance. No big deal, unless I forget.

I don't see the police as doing anything to make the 59 freeway safer for us. It's not the speeders killing others. It's the drunks, sleepy travelers, distracted commuters, cell phone idiots, etc... But how can we get any money out of them? Is there a ticket for 17 over the sleepy limit? Or 77 in a 60 IQ zone?

Um, I was just trying to offer you an option to get rid of the ticket. Didn't judge you in any way. My apologies for trying to help.

PS
Might want to get more fiber in your diet. Just a thought.

Not reacting to your comment in particular, just the comments I see whenever someone posts up about speeding.

And, I get it now. Thanks for the help. Can I do advanced rider school to get rid of a ticket in the car?

Should have told him to wait while you wife brings you a copy of you insurance card and then told him she was coming from the oposite side of town and would be there in 30 to an hour and I am sure he would have just let you go.
So did you get a speeding ticket too?
