what about the huge steel plates, the ones covering up the potholes on houston roads?

"yeah we'll just use this huge non textured plate, and lay it smack between several lanes to cover up some minor potholes... i would love to watch a cyclist go down"

Wow that really sucks. They'd been doing construction for a long time on Hwy 6 right at I-10 and used to leave dirt and rocks on the road all the time near the outer left turn lane at Park Row.

I started using the inner left turn lane, but you'd be surprised by how many people think the OUTER left turn lane is perfectly accepatable for u-turns and will come over on you in a heartbeat. THEN they look at you like you're a fukcing that can't drive.

I'd always thought about pulling over and asking the workers if they could clean this up from time to time, but now I see it would've been useless.

Very good info on your post man.
Sorry about your bike too.

Who makes the laws in our country....we do. Raise a fuss. Ever since my cousin drove into a 5 foot deep sink hole and totaled her car and had her son hurt I've thought it was BS she could not sue city of houston for leaving it there, knowing it was there, and putting up no signs for days, even after the incident. Bullsh!t I tell ya. Vote against TXDOT on this one.
