Everyone has their own opinions. I've owned nearly 30 vehicles and I haven't bought a single one without haggling. Doesn't mean I got my price every either. In my opinion, the sales person works for the dealer, not for me. I have no duties, responsibilities, or concerns as to his pay. Its not personal; it doesn't mean you are worthless. The dealer doesn't care where my money came from or how I worked to get it.....

the 1 gladius in ebay is $6000 + $600 in fee's, then add TX tax, and you'll be at $7k

i wouldn't expect a local dealer to match that.

I know none of y'all would go to work for free, why should a sales person?

And when I bought the bike knew what I could afford and found it. Scatters bike is to learn on and find it stupid to buy a new bike for someone to learn on.

That is the difference of viewpoint because you work in the business. I never have but my 1st wife did and I got to know a lot about floorplans and interest deals and rebates and factory invoices and such.

The reason you are on the lot is to make the company money. They pay you a commission to influence you to make them even more money, while helping yourself, of course. I don't have a problem with either of you making money. I have a problem with the people who take advantage and you know what I'm talking about.

Haggling is part of the process. You are all trained in that game. If you don't like it, put a fixed price on all the vehicles at a fair margin. We can come look, see the price and make our decision without spending several hours waiting for the salesperson to run back and forth between us and the sales manager trying to help us get a great deal (ya right). The dealership where my wife worked had a nice break room with a pool table and refreshments for the salesmen while they let the customers sit at the desk and think it over.

Even the finance guys make a commission. Bet most people don't know that or even wonder why.

no kidding... cause if that were the case, I would be buying all the units and just having the store give me a grand to take them...
