AMA was there in 1990, too. That was Miguel DuHamel's first win, if I remember rightly. The CMRA also visited the track a time or two in the early 1990s. For some reason I'm drawing a blank on the exact year(s), but I remember the track's surface was very smooth. Its a nice track, but a long way from home, providing your home is Texas.

Well, it would be roughly 8 1/2 hours. Nacho and I live in the Oklahoma City area, and its only about a 5 hour drive from there. Bout the same as driving from Fort Worth to MSRH.

The toughest part for me about the deal is currently they only do Monday trackdays at HPT. Did mention they are trying to get Sundays, but isnt reflected on the schedule yet.

Honestly the thing to do would be go up for the AMA race weekend, and then that following Monday is another trackday and stay and ride the track the day after the big boys got done out there.

Now if the AMA was good enough to watch.....that might work.

Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was wishing i had your number Monday morning, i was unsure on what to try and do with pressure (if anything?) with the wet track in the morning. Will ask you at TWS (Texas World Speedway) this weekend so that i have a frame of reference for next time encountering wet conditions.

I'm jealous. Blake and I were thinking of hitting 1 more track on our way back from CO in July but with him moving I don't think we will have time or else this track would be at the top of our list.

Hey Nacho you still thinking of coming on the trip in July?

I don't think i will make it. The old lady isn't too happy with all my outings without her.
