LSTD mini thanks at OHR

first of all, thanks to the CMRA and Shogun for putting on a great event weekend for the mini's and motards ONLY! personally, i thought it was a great turn out, and the purses for each class were excellent, even though we weren't one of the recipients of a purse. (i wanted a new pink one)

Thanks to all of my fans at home (T and the animals )
thanks to all of my sponsors
Lone Star Track days
Wes at sport cycles of houston
Spartan leathers
John at SCRC (even tho i ran a different tire, he still hooked us up with a tire mount friday afternoon) thanks again John.

thanks to my team mates Romeo, Cliff and Joleen for the help on and off the track.

Chris started us off and set a good pace for the day, it was a long and very hot race for all who were participating in the days event.

It was great to see some of the MH folks out there racing along side us.

Thanks to Dennie and his team for helping out by being our nice funny neighbors in the pits, thanks to AF1 racing for sharing their fire extinguisher with us.

My legs and my triceps are still very sore from all of the riding we did.

Luckily, we had no get off's only 1 or 2 offroad excursions that didn't really matter any way, the bike managed to stay on both wheels and we were able to finish the whole 8 hours of racing

Another thanks to Wes at Sportcycles of houston for building us a solid motor to race with, that thing has at least 13 hours of hard riding on it with out one single issue.

Our 85 fuel tank gave each of us at least an additional 20-30 minutes of race time per stint with it's extended fuel capacity. we went from 30-35 minutes on the 65 tank to 50-60 minutes of racing time on one tank of fuel.

We had 52 bike start the race and i think only 3 were out by the end of the race.

Hopefully we can see this event again next year, it was a great time.

The Mini Fest was a blast, and I wanted to extend my thanks as well to everyone involved. Jackpot Racing finished the 8 hours with 215 laps for a total of 387 miles on our KLX110. We ended up 5th in the F7 class and 33rd overall. It was a very long HOT day, but it was crazy fun!!!

Good to see you guys out there. Eight hours without a single red flag and mostly minor get-offs from those that had them equals good (and hot) fun. That's the way I like races right there. I don't think there was a team out there that didn't have some kind of issue at some point, but as you stated, most were there at the end. Props to you guys for laying down solid laps, lap after lap.

Now, where's my horn again?

Congrats on the 5th in class guys!

We were running along nicely in 2nd till we got DQ`ed after a CMRA official had given us the "green and initialed" the pink slip to add a rider.

For some reason I never got a chance to play with you guys in the F5s. Then again I never got under a 1:50 so not sure what pace you guys were running.

See you guys at a TMGP event (hopefully) or @ Cresson (CMRA).

my fastest lap for the day was a 1.49.753 in the third hour. everything else should have been a consistent 1.50-1.51 i have seen the results yet.

Sweet!

My goal was to get under 1:50s but it never happened...

From the print out I got from the result guys I was doing 1:50-1:52s my 4th stint. Our bike with its stock KX 65 tank could'nt go more then 30-34 minutes before running out of gas.

Looks like we'll be looking for a KX 85 tank as well if it fits.

Again Congrats on finish!

thanks Moe, we ended up finishing 5th which i thought we were sitting in 7th all day, 19th overall (not bad, there were some super fast bikes out there) we are currently in second place in class by only 10 laps.

I hear you. We were sitting in 2nd place as well (2 points) behind 1st, going into OHR. Coming out of it - I'm not sure how TMGP is going to handle the points but we were not allowed to run the last 1 hour, 17 minutes which hurt us alot... so most likely we'll be 4th or 5th overall (in TMGP).

Looks like we got 20 hours to fight back and get on podium overall...

Not only is that the plan, it's planned to be bigger and better than ever before, with lots more cash to give out to the teams. I got some inside scoop at the track, and it was tasty.

James is super consistent, hardly, if ever, is there a second different between his laps... great work team mate!

btw, i had to have gotten at least 3 feet of air on that sucker, cuz I doubled some little mounds...great suspension setup for 135 lbs for mx use!

thanks Cliffy, Joleen was sure a good pit mate, kept making me try eat all the food. i guess a run off is better than a crash, we all 3 did well considering our competition.
